AI / ML Engineer

About the Role

You'll build the core intelligence behind botshift's AI operators. Our agents don't just answer questions: they run real business operations, make decisions, and drive revenue. You'll own the models, the orchestration, and the feedback loops that make them smarter over time.

What You'll Do

• ›Design and build multi-agent systems that operate autonomously in live business environments
• ›Fine-tune and evaluate LLMs for domain-specific tasks in hospitality, operations, and sales
• ›Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and knowledge management systems
• ›Develop evaluation frameworks to measure agent performance against real business KPIs
• ›Architect prompt chains, tool-use patterns, and agent orchestration layers
• ›Collaborate directly with customers to understand operational needs and translate them into AI capabilities

What We're Looking For

• ›3+ years of experience in machine learning or AI engineering
• ›Hands-on experience with LLMs (fine-tuning, prompt engineering, evaluation)
• ›Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, HuggingFace, etc.)
• ›Experience building production ML systems, not just research prototypes
• ›Familiarity with vector databases, embedding models, and retrieval systems
• ›Ability to work autonomously and make judgment calls in ambiguous situations

Nice to Have

• ›Experience with multi-agent frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen)
• ›Background in reinforcement learning or RLHF
• ›Prior work in hospitality, retail, or other physical-world industries
• ›Experience with robotics or embodied AI systems
